Show Jesus Cares

Jesus gave us three commands, the third was and is to reach people who do not know Him yet, and show them how much Jesus cares.  It is a call to share the news of what Jesus has done and invite others to get to know Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20).  This has always been done through the lives of those who worship Jesus.  We are called to be the light in this world (Matthew 5:16 & Luke 8:16).  We do this by serving others and showing what Jesus is like (Matthew 22:39, Matthew 25:35-40, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 12:13).

The other way we show Jesus cares is by sharing our faith with others.  1 Peter 3:15 reminds us to always be ready to share our hope in Jesus, to tell why we worship Him.  People cannot hear the message we share if their stomachs are growling too loud, or if they don't know who we are.  "They don't care what you know until they know you care."  In order to show Jesus to people means we act as His hands and feet and love as Jesus did and does.

1.

Jesus was relational, teaching us that the best way to show you care is person to person.  We encourage our members to take friends/neighbors/co-workers for coffee etc. and be praying for them.

2.
